Well known for Cherapunjji, the place which receives one of the maximum rainfall in the world, Meghalaya can mesmerise you with its hills, valleys, lakes, caves and waterfalls which when combined with the beautiful clouds, give it a very serene, beautiful look.
After arrival at Guwahati our representative meet and assist you and transfer you to Shillong. En-route visit Umiam lake (Barapani lake) – largest man-made lake of North-East India. After arrive at Shillong Check in to the hotel and evening Half day Shillong city tour (where you can see Lady hydari Park, Zoo, Ward’s Lake, Cathedral, Don Bosco Museum, etc.). Overnight stay at Shillong.
Morning after breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee – the wettest place in the world. At Cherrapunjee enjoy the numerous waterfalls like Nohkalikai falls, Mawsmai falls, Dainthlen Falls and Mawsmai cave. Evening drive back to Shillong. On your way back you can enjoy the spectacular view of Elephant falls. Overnight stay at Shillong.
After breakfast visit the cleanest village in India. It is situated 30 kms. From Cherrapunjee and besides the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. It is along the Indo-Bangladesh border. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness. Evening we will return back to Shillong. Overnight in Shillong.
After breakfast drive to Guwahati and drop you in railway station/airport for your future journey.
